The University of St Andrews has welcomed the arrival of the new royal baby with a Tweet harking back to the royal couple’s time in Fife.

William and Kate met while studying at the university in 2001.
At the time, simply as Kate Middleton, she was an art history student and the heir to the throne was studying geography.
They graduated in 2005, as a couple, and the picture of their happy day was posted as part of the university’s Tweet.
Since graduating, the couple have returned to St Andrews, making an official visit there in 2011 just before their wedding where William said: “It feels like coming home”.
