A main road through Methil has been closed after a multi-vehicle accident.
Emergency services were called to Wellesley Road at around 11.20am after receiving a report that three vehicles – including a bus – had been involved in some sort of collision.
Police, fire and ambulance services all attended and it is understood the incident involved a bus and a black Saab, although damage was also sustained by a red Audi.
A male driver of the Saab is understood to have suffered an injury to his leg, but a spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed that no-one else has been injured.
Officers blocked off the road between High Street and South Street to recover vehicles and clear away debris, with traffic being diverted by Cowley Street.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “At around 11.15am today, a car collided with one of our service 7 vehicles travelling from Dunfermline to Leven on Wellesley Road.
“We are thankful that there appears to be no major injuries to our passengers or driver, though we understand the car driver received medical attention at the scene.”
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, and Stagecoach said it was assisting police with their enquiries and carrying out its own probe.
