Hundreds of people signed a petition at the weekend protesting about the closure of the out-of-hours GP service in three Fife hospitals.
Labour politicians manned a stall in Dunfermline on Saturday to collect signatures as the campaign against the temporary closure of the service gathers momentum.
Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Alex Rowley said hundreds signed up on the day.
“I think there is a lot of unhappiness around this issue,” he said.
Fife’s health and social care partnership has come under fire for giving only four days notice that it was closing the midnight to 8am GP cover at Queen Margaret, Glenrothes and St Andrews hospitals for a three month period because of staff shortages.
People in need of out-of-hours treatment will now have to travel to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
