A man was found with £4,700 worth of heroin by police in Dunfermline.
Officers searched the 47-year-old on Blacklaw Road at around 5pm on Tuesday and recovered the class A drug.
The man is to appear in Dunfermline Sheriff Court next month, charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Sergeant Neil McGurk, of the community investigation unit in Dunfermline, said: “This is another significant recovery as part of the ongoing Operation Prospect initiative, targeting substance misuse throughout the Kingdom.
“Whenever we have information or intelligence to suggest drugs offences are taking place we will respond accordingly.”
He advised anyone with concerns about drugs offences to call police on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
