The open barn, near Shell Bay, contained 100 tonnes of straw. A trailer was also parked inside. It was well alight when fire crews arrived shortly after 7.15pm on Friday evening. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews from St Andrews and Methil fought the flames. The incident ended at 1.22am when crews returned to their stations, having spent hours dampening down and turning over the affected area.
