The shunt happened in the middle lane of the southbound carriageway just after junction 1c at Admiralty. There was significant traffic congestion for a time as traffic slowed, with queues initially extending beyond the Masterton junction. It is understood no-one was injured and the damaged vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.
