Firefighters are still at the scene of a forest blaze which broke out on Monday evening.
Crews spent the evening monitoring the situation at Devilla Forest, just off the A985 Kincardine to Dunfermline road, after the incident was reported at about 2pm yesterday.
On Tuesday morning, an appliance from Dunfermline and another from Stirling remained at the scene monitoring “small pockets” of the forest which remain “smouldering”.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “It is still on-going. Two crews are in attendance just now. There is small pockets affecting an area and a watching brief was taking place.
“There are two appliances from Dunfermline and Stirling. It is just small pockets that were still attacking areas.
“At 8.19pm (on Monday) the fire was affecting 25-hectares, deep-seated hot-spots. Due to fading light at 8.41pm it was down to a watching brief.
“At the moment crews have just arrived because it is now daylight. Small pockets are still smouldering.”
