A popular Fife play centre is in the running to claim at least one prestgious national award.
Little World of Play, an innovative project that transformed the former Remploy factory in Cowdenbeath’s Cuddyhouse Road, is up for two accolades after making it to the national finals in the What’s On 4 Kids Awards.
The venture has been shortlisted in the Best New Activity and Best Independent Pre-schooler Activity for the Under 5s categories, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 3.
The imaginative play centre has grown from strength to strength in recent times, providing a safe fun place for young people to use their imaginations.
Jennifer and Pete Rippin, who run Little World Of Play, said: “We’re a local family with three young children of our own and felt the area needed more to entertain the little ones.
“Little World of Play is a miniature version of any town with all the usual shops and businesses; such as a supermarket, a fire station, a beauty salon, a hospital, a restaurant, a police station and much more – all in the perfect mini size to inspire the imaginations of little people.
“We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Little World of Play has made it to the finals.”
