Fife Council has been called to uplift an armchair which was dumped in the middle of the region’s busiest road.
The discarded piece of furniture was found lying between the lanes of the southbound carriageway of the A92 near the Kirkcaldy West exit on Thursday afternoon.
It is not known how the chair ended up on the road – if it had fallen off a vehicle or had been the result of fly tipping.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to the A92 southbound at around 3.20pm today following a report of a chair on the road.
“It was described as an armchair.
“The council have been contacted to remove it.”
It is understood members of the public moved the chair to the side of the road while it awaited uplift.
