An investigation has been launched after a teenage boy was hit by a bus near a Fife school on Thursday afternoon.
The 14-year-old victim is understood to have suffered a bruised elbow in the incident, which took place outside Inverkeithing High School at around 12.55pm.
The third year pupil was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital but he was subsequently released.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Fife are investigating following a collision involving a male pedestrian and a bus in Inverkeithing.
“The incident happened around 12.55pm on Thursday September 13 in Hillend Road.
“The 14-year-old sustained slight injuries and was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy as a precaution.
“Inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing.”
