Firefighters were called to tackle a fire at a house in Kirkcaldy late on Friday afternoon.
Five crews from Kirkcaldy, Methil and Glenrothes were summoned to the blaze at a property in East March Street at around 4pm.
The area around the two-storey terraced house was cordoned off as emergency services worked to make the scene safe.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it is understood the fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom, but confirmed that no persons were reported.
Four pumps and a height appliance were used to bring the situation under control, and a full investigation is expected to be carried out in due course.
