A prominent Kirkcaldy hotel has been raided as part of a probe into serious and organised crime, police have confirmed.
Uniformed and plain-clothed officers are understood to have forced entry to The Kirk Inn, in Milton Road, shortly after noon and have been conducting a thorough search of the premises.
Police dogs have also been involved in the operation.
Officers have so far refused to divulge exactly why the pub has been targeted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Fife carried out enforcement activity at a business premises in Kirkcaldy on Thursday September 20, as part of an ongoing investigation into serious and organised crime.
“A 31-year old man has been arrested. Inquiries are ongoing.”
