Latest sampling showed the bathing water was within safe limits and warning signs have been removed from the area.
The public had been urged to steer clear after a power cut on September 13 led to a pump failure at Levenmouth waste water treatment works, causing sewage to leak into the River Leven.
A multi-agency risk management group convened in the wake of the incident warned of potential health risks to anyone walking at the river mouth or the beach.
The risks have now been reviewed and restrictions lifted.
