A pensioner has been taken to hospital after crashing his car into bushes at a Kirkcaldy supermarket.
Emergency services were called to the scene outside the Aldi store on Forth Road at around 10am on Thursday.
The man, in his 80’s, was freed from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to the Victoria Hospital in a serious condition.
It is believed the collision may have been caused by a medical incident.
A passenger in the vehicle was unharmed.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 10.07am to reports of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle at Forth Road, Kirkcaldy.
“Two fire engines were mobilised to the scene, where one casualty was assisted to safety by firefighters.
“The casualty was passed into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel and thereafter transported to the Victoria Hospital.”
Fire crews remained on scene to make the area safe.
