Two people have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of Claire Turnbull in Blairhall. Aaron Donald, 27, and Laura McMurdo, 29, of Dunfermline, tendered no plea when they appeared in private at the town’s sheriff court on Monday. The case against them was committed for further examination. Donald and McMurdo were arrested after a disturbance in the west Fife village on Friday evening. Ms Turnbull, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan from Dunfermline CID said: “Our thoughts are with Claire’s family and friends at this tragic time. “Claire’s family are being supported by specialist officers and the family kindly request privacy at this time to come to terms with their loss. “We are satisfied that this was an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.”
