Emergency services were called to the scene on Little Raith Farm at around 12.05pm. Around 200 to 300 bales are understood to have caught fire and are described as being “well alight”. Crews from fire stations in Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy have been sent to the scene with four appliances in attendance. Brave firefighters are using high pressure hose reels and breathing apparatus as they attempt to extinguish the blaze. A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was around 65ft by 98ft in size.
