Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a road accident in Kirkcaldy.
The 35-year-old woman sustained serious leg injuries, which police said were not life threatening, after her Motorini GP125 motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car at around 6.45pm on Saturday.
She was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
The driver of the Skoda Octavia car, which eye witnesses said was operating as a taxi, was not hurt.
It happened in Dunnikier Way near Kirkcaldy High School.
Sergeant Stephen Quinn from the Road Policing Unit in Fife said: “This collision has resulted in some very serious injuries to the motorcycle rider and we are eager to hear from other road users and members of the public who witnessed what happened, as we work to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
“If you have any information you believe can assist with our ongoing inquiries then please contact police immediately.”
