Motorists travelling south from Fife over the Queensferry Crossing were caught in traffic chaos following a three-car accident on the Edinburgh side of the Forth.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 7.35am on the southbound stretch of the M90 near to where the road splits with the A90.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said no-one was seriously hurt in the crash, describing the drivers involved as “walking wounded”.
However, a number of lanes were blocked by the debris from the accident, which involved a Mini, a Vauxhall Corsa and another vehicle, and that caused massive tailbacks from well into Fife to junction one at Scotstoun.
