Police have charged two men in connection with the break-in and theft of vehicles from business premises in Glenrothes earlier this week.
Four vehicles were stolen from a workshop in the Woodgate Way North area some time overnight between Monday January 7 and Tuesday January 8, and they were later recovered in locations in Fife and Forth Valley.
The men, aged 28 and 23, are due to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court in due course.
The 28-year-old man has also been charged in connection with nine other offences of housebreaking and theft, seven that occurred in the Fife area and two that occurred in the Forth Valley area between December 11 2018 and January 9 2019.
Four of the housebreaking and theft incidents are alleged to have taken place in Dunfermline, while there were two alleged incidents in Inverkeithing, and one each in Kelty, Dollar and Tillicoultry.
Detective Sergeant Mark Beveridge, from Glenrothes CID, said: “We remain committed to working with colleagues across all divisions to ensure incidents such as these are robustly investigated.
“I’d urge the public to always report any suspicious behaviour in their area to us on 101, or 999 if you witness a crime in progress.”
