Superheroes are preparing to descend on Glenrothes again this summer as the town hosts its third comic con.
Celebrating comics, fantasy and cosplay, the family-focused event on June 8 will feature more than 70 characters and traders.
This year’s convention has been organised by Big Glasgow Comic Page (BGCP), which is hosting its first event in the east of Scotland following success in Glasgow.
Comic artist Gary Erskine, creative director of the previous two Glenrothes events, will again be on board to offer his expertise.
Organiser Ian Bonar of BGCP Comic Com said attendees could expect to see characters such as Iron Man, Batman and Chewbacca, as well as writers and artists from Marvel, DC, Image and 2000AD Comics.
The Delorean from Back to the Future will roar back into town for the day and attendees will be able to have their picture taken with it.
“We’ve had several requests to come to Fife and Glenrothes is the perfect place,” said Ian.
“We aim to provide an affordable day out which will stay with you until the next one as well as encouraging kids to get into writing and drawing via a variety of free workshops.”
This year’s comic con will take place at the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre from 10am to 5pm.
