A woman has been taken to hospital after apparently being struck by a car in the north of Glenrothes.
The woman, who was wearing distinctive running gear, had been crossing the road near to the A911 Leslie Roundabout when the accident involving a silver Vauxhall Astra took place at around 3.30pm.
Eyewitnesses said paramedics were treating the woman in the middle of the road before she was taken by ambulance to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital.
It is understood she was conscious and talking to the ambulance staff treating her, and her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Three police traffic cars and an ambulance were on the scene, and traffic was said to be building up in the area.
