Raith Rovers fans were caught in a “suspect package” scare ahead of their Scottish Cup tie with Hibernian FC.
Turnstiles at Easter Road in Edinburgh were temporarily locked after an unidentified item was found in the south stand, which houses the away supporters.
Police Scotland confirmed they were aware of an incident at the stadium which forced the entry points to be temporarily delayed in opening.
However, it was soon discovered that it was a false alarm and all turnstiles were reopened as normal.
Kirkcaldy club manager John McGlynn said: “It has been dealt with and we are all geared up for a 3pm kick-off.
“It has not interfered with our preparation at all.”
