Officers were called to the scene on Invertiel Terrace in Kirkcaldy at around 5.30 on Thursday. They found the explosive had been lit and posted through the front door of the property, scorching the carpet on the other side. No one was injured in the incident. A flat within the block of flats on Invertiel Terrace was targeted. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch. A force spokesman said: “Police in Fife are investigating following an incident of reckless conduct in Kirkcaldy.” Anyone with information is asked to call 101. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the scene. Three appliances from Kirkcaldy attended but were stood down a short time later.
