Police investigating the murder of a Kirkcaldy man have made an arrest. A 30-year-old man was being questioned last night in connection with the death of Kevin Byrne at his Alison Street home more than a fortnight ago. Police were called to the scene at around 10am on Tuesday February 5, where the body of the 45-year-old was discovered. A post mortem later confirmed his death was suspicious. My Byrne, also known as Kevin Forrester, was a distinctive member of the community as his left leg had been amputated and he walked with crutches. His family was provided with specialist support and patrols were stepped up in the wake of his death. Police Scotland said inquiries by its major investigation team were ongoing.
