Scottish Water said it hopes to have normal supplies restored soon after reports of water problems in Auchtermuchty.
Local residents reported loss of water supply and discoloured water on Tuesday afternoon.

Scottish Water said: “We’ve had reports of loss of water supply, low pressure and discoloured water in the Auchtermuchty area this afternoon.
“We’re en-route to the area and we hope to have normal supplies restored as quickly as possible.
“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
The water authority said it could not confirm when supplies would be restored and urged members of the public affected by the disruption to check its service update webpage for the latest developments.
