The family of a Kirkcaldy man found dead in his own home have paid tribute to “a loveable rogue”. The body of Kevin Byrne, 45, was discovered in his Alison Street home on Tuesday February 5. He was found by a concerned friend who broke into his house through a window. Now in a statement issued through Police Scotland, Kevin’s heartbroken family have paid tribute to him. “Kevin was a loving son, father and brother. “He loved life and was kind, caring and a loveable rogue. “His loss in such tragic circumstances has been a shock to us all but we hold in our hearts the happy memories we have.” The grieving family thanks everyone who came forward during the police investigation with information. And they encouraged anyone else who had information to contact police. “As a family, we would appreciate if we could now be left alone to grieve,” they added. Leslie Douglas Fraser, 30, of no fixed abode, has been charged in connection with the murder of Mr Byrne. He was remanded in custody following the private hearing at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.
