Firefighters have tackled a blaze next to the busy M90 in Fife. Emergency services were called to the scene near Hill of Beath shortly after 6.40pm on Sunday. Two fire engines, both from Dunfermline, were sent to the roadside to tackle the blaze which took hold of gorse and grass in the area. The southbound carriageway remained open throughout but motorists were warned to exercise caution on approach. Police Scotland confirmed they are also in attendance at the scrub-land fire. The flames were successfully put out and hot spots dampened down by firefighters who left the scene at 7.31pm.
