Police were called to the A707 Glen Bridge at 11.15am following a report of concern for a person in the area. Officers closed the road in both directions temporarily and brought the incident safely under control by 11.45am. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said they had dealt with an incident in the town centre but that it had concluded safely. The closure had a knock-on effect for a number of bus services at the nearby Dunfermline bus station.
