A motorcyclist was taken to hospital by air ambulance after a road accident in Fife.
The 29-year-old man was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where his injuries were described as being serious.
His motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the B9157 Quarry Road near the Bernard Smithy junction with the A909 at around 4.30pm on Saturday.
The Dalgety Bay to Kirkcaldy road was closed between Braefoot Bay roundabout and Bernard Smithy while emergency services attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At about 4.35pm on Saturday March 30, 2019, police in Fife attended a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the B9157 at Bernard Smithy.
“A 29-year-old male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service before being airlifted to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
“The 37-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.”
