A young man has been taken to hospital after being found injured in a Dunfermline street on Friday.
Locals reported a large police presence in Hill Street, near the town centre, at around lunchtime.
Following inquiries, officers said they were not looking for anyone in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson said: “Police in Fife were called to Hill Street in Dunfermline around 11am on Friday, April 5 following a report of concern for a man seen injured.
“The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, with non life-threatening injuries.
“Officers are not currently looking for anyone in connection with the matter at this time.”
