A man has died nine days on from a crash on a Fife road.
The two-car accident took place on the A985 Rosyth to Kincardine road near High Valleyfield on Friday, April 19 at about 3.45pm.
A green Ford Escort being driven by a 54-year-old man and a silver Renault Megane with an 84-year-old man at the wheel collided near the junction with the A985.
The 54-year-old was flown to Edinburgh Royal infirmary by air ambulance suffering from serious injuries.
The 84-year-old man died as a result of his injuries in Ninewells Hospital on Sunday, April 28.
Police are now seeking witnesses to the crash.
Officers had closed the road for five-and-a-half hours on the day as they investigated the incident.
Sergeant Stephen Quinn, of Fife’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Sadly, as a result of the collision, a man has lost his life and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
“The driver of the Ford Escort sustained serious injuries that he continues to recover from and we are grateful to those who stopped to assist at the scene of the collision and who have provided information to help with our inquiries so far.
“I’d ask anyone who has relevant dash-cam footage or information, and who hasn’t yet provided this to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.”
