Firefighters were called out at 4.40pm to a car on fire behind the Greens Local Store on Cardenden Road.
Police are investigating after a car was set on fire behind a Fife shop on Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the Greens Local shop on Cardenden Road, Lochgelly, at about 4,40pm.
Two appliances were sent to the scene of the blaze, which left part of the building blackened.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Fife are investigating after a car was set alight in Cardenden Road, Lochgelly, at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, May 8.
“No one was injured and inquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.”

Staff have confirmed that the Greens Local remains open for business and said the building is “totally fine”.
