Police have urged a missing Dunfermline man to get in touch.
Concern is growing for James Laurie, 46, who was last seen at around 11pm on Monday in the Clunie Road area.
He has since failed to return home or make contact with anyone.
James is described a white, around 5ft 10in tall and of medium build with fair coloured hair.
He has a scar on the right side of his face and when last seen he was wearing jeans and a black bomber jacket.
Police said he has links to the Rosyth area and is not believed to have access to a vehicle so is likely to be travelling on foot.
Anyone who has seen James, or who knows of his current whereabouts, is asked to contact officers as soon as possible.
Inspector Steven Miller from Dunfermline Police Station said: “It is out of character for James not to be in regular contact with his family and friends and they are understandably concerned for his safety.
“We’d appeal to anyone who may have seen, or spoken to James, since 11pm last night, to contact police immediately.
“If James himself sees our appeal then we’d urge him to contact officers, or someone he trusts, so that we know he is safe.”
Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0566 of May 21.
