Six men have appeared in court charged with assault and robbery against an 80-year-old woman in a Fife hamlet. Five of the six men accused of a robbery, which happened in Gowkhall on February 22, come from Liverpool. They are Aaron Walsh, 28, Anthony Hogan, 37, Darren Murphy, 32, Francis Mark, 24, and Spencer Douglas, 50. Also appearing in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Monday was Levi Lowther, 22, of Dumfries and Galloway. All appeared facing charges of assault and robbery, and theft by housebreaking. The six men made no plea or declaration and the cases against them were continued for further examination. Douglas was remanded in custody. The other five accused were granted bail.
