A broken down yacht had to be towed back to safety near Anstruther harbour on Saturday morning. The RNLI crew at Anstruther were called to assist at around 11.15am following a report of a vessel in difficulty at the edge of the harbour area. Both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats were involved and the stricken vessel was pulled back to shore. No-one was hurt or required medical assistance. The volunteer crew had been conducting training exercises when the alarm was raised.
