Members of St Andrews Harbour Trust are hoping for glorious weather for their annual Harbour Gala on Saturday.
The event, which will run from 11am to 5pm, will see the usual inflatable castles and slides, rides for children, face painting and various stalls including raffle, books, bric a brac and a bottle stall.
There will also be a variety of individual stalls selling handmade crafts, paintings, prints, books, cosmetics and much more, while a number of charities have also confirmed attendance including Guide Dogs, RSPB, RNLI, St Andrews in Bloom, the RAF and the St Andrews Men’s Shed.
A group of alpacas from Bowbridge Farm will also be on hand to entertain young and old alike.
A spokeswoman for the trust hopes there will be a large turnout for all of the activities throughout the day.
“With the view of the sea on one side and the square tower and skyline of the town on the other side and the beautiful weather conditions we hope to have, it will just be perfect for all,” she said.
A licensed bar will be run by Heidi Orr of The New Inn and it is expected to be open on Friday evening.
All monies raised from the gala will be invested in the general maintenance and upkeep of the harbour and surrounding area.
