Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Kirkcaldy.
It follows the discovery of a body at Kirkcaldy Beach on Sunday morning.
According to police, the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
A post mortem examination was to be carried out and next of kin contacted.
A large section of the Esplanade walkway was sealed off as police dealt with the incident.
The alarm was raised at 10.25am when the promenade was likely to have been busy with walkers, cyclists and runners.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Around 10.25am on Sunday July 14 police attended Esplanade, Kirkcaldy following the discovery of a body in the beach area.”
