A woman has been taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital following an accident in Leslie High Street on Thursday afternoon.
The road was closed by emergency services at around 12.20pm after the incident, which is understood to have involved two vehicles.
Paramedics treated the female driver of one of the cars at the scene before she was transferred to accident and emergency at Kirkcaldy.
An investigation into the incident is under way, but witnesses have suggested the driver of the car may have taken ill at the wheel and crashed into a parked car.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Glenrothes were called out but were only needed to help make the scene safe.
Diversions were put in place while emergency services worked to assist the lady involved.
