A Fife animal park was evacuated after a car struck a gas canister.
Fife Zoo had opened a section to the public for the first time just hours before the collision occurred in its car park.
Visitors were asked to leave the attraction, near Collessie, as emergency services deal with the incident.
However, they were unable to remove cars from the car park and waited in a field beside the zoo until the area was declared safe.
The zoo reopened shortly after 4pm.
Firefighters and police were called to the park at around 1.45pm.
A police spokeswoman said: “At around 1.45pm we were called to a report that a car had been involved in a low-speed collision with some sort of gas tank.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were alerted to reports of a car colliding with a gas canister at an animal park in Collessie at 1.43pm on Friday, July 26.
“Operations control have mobilised a number of specialist resources to the scene and firefighters are currently working to make the area safe.”
The zoo, currently under construction, launched a taster section at 10am on Friday morning.
Animals include porcupines, zebras, tortoises, meerkats and De Brazza’s monkeys.
The zoo said that all staff, visitors and animals were safe.
A statement issued on social media said: “Due to an accident in our car park we have temporarily closed the zoo.
“Members of the public, our animals and staff are safe and the fire and rescue service are in attendance.”
Two fire engines and the fire service’s heavy rescue unit are there, along with two ambulances.
It later said: “We are incredibly proud of all of our staff for their quick response and professionalism.
“Thank you for your support at this time.”
It will open as normal at 10am on Saturday.
