A child was hurt when he was struck by a vehicle in Dunfermline town centre.
The incident occurred in Pilmuir Street around 2.30pm on Monday.
The youngster, whose age is unknown, sustained a minor head injury.
He was aided by paramedics at the scene, near Coadys bar, and did not need hospital treatment.
Several emergency vehicles were dispatched to the incident.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.30pm officers were called to Pilmuir Street, in Dunfermline following a report that a child had been struck by a vehicle.
“The ambulance service attended and assisted the boy who received a minor injury to his head.
“Officers left the scene around an hour later.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 2.24pm today to attend an incident on Carnegie Drive in Dunfermline.
“We dispatched one ambulance and a rapid response unit to the scene.
