UPDATE: Clackmannanshire Bridge reopens after man sadly dies

A man has died following an incident at Clackmannanshire Bridge.

The bridge was closed to traffic at around 2.30pm following concerns for a man.

Police and paramedics attended the incident but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.30pm following a report of concern for a person that had fallen from the bridge.

“A man was recovered from the water but was sadly pronounced dead by paramedics and his family has been informed.”

The bridge was reopened at 5.22pm.
