Police, fire, ambulance, the coastguard and lifeboat crews rushed to Hawkcraig Point around at around noon after the alarm was raised. A police helicopter and an air ambulance were also at the scene, while and a lifeboat crew were also in the water just off the coast. Roads leading to the cliff have also been closed by police as emergency services continue at the scene. A spokesman for Police Scotland said:“Officers were alerted at 11.40am on Sunday, August 25 to a reports of an individual having fallen from cliffs. “A male has suffered injuries and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. “We can confirm that there incident is not being treated as suspicious.” The cliffs are close to Aberdour’s Silver Sands Beach, one of Fife busiest and most popular beach destinations.
