Hundreds of Fife pupils are being sent home after a power cut at their school. Glenwood High School in Glenrothes, which has almost 900 pupils, has announced it has no electricity. Children with a safe place to go are being allowed to leave the school and buses will be laid on to collect some pupils. Others have been told to report to the school leadership team. Collydean Community Centre in Glenrothes has said it will be open all day for any child who needs a safe haven. A Fife Council spokesperson said it was waiting for ScottishPower to assess the situation.
