Fife bus passengers have had a lucky escape after a double-decker crashed off the road.
The accident happened on the St Andrews to Largoward road shortly after 6pm on Friday.
The Stagecoach Fife coach came to rest on its side in a large hedge.
Police Scotland said there were no injuries in the incident.
A spokesman at police control in Edinburgh confirmed there were minimal passengers on the coach at the time.
A recovery operation was quickly mounted and passengers on the bus are understood to have been transferred to a replacement service.
A spokeswoman for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “One of our vehicles operating on service 97 between Leven and St Andrews has come off the road near Largoward at around 18:15 this evening.
“We are thankful that there are no injuries and the few passengers on board have now continued their onward journey.
“We have commenced a full investigation and will assist the Police with their enquiries as required.”
