A driver has had to be cut free from a vehicle by fire crews following a vehicle crash in Lochgelly this evening.
Two appliances from nearby Lochgelly station were dispatched after being alerted at 7.15pm to a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the B920 Lochleven Road.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire & Rescue, said: “When crews arrived at the scene a female was found to be trapped in one of the vehicles.
“A plan was formulated to free the driver by removing the roof using specialist cutting equipment.
“It’s understood injuries to the driver are thought to be minor and not life threatening.”
A spokesman for Police Scotland added:” Officers were alerted at 7.09pm this evening to a two car road traffic collision on the B920 where the road was closed to assist fire crews.”
