A man has had a lucky escape after the vehicle he was driving crashed into trees on the outskirts of Cardenden.
Emergency services were called to the B981 between Lochgelly and Cardenden at around 1.40pm following reports a vehicle had left the roadway.
One witness said the vehicle in question had been significantly damaged, adding: “You couldn’t really see what type of vehicle it was – it was obliterated.
“It’s amazing that no-one was more seriously hurt.”
One male occupant was said to be out of the car and walking when police arrived, and it is understood he was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital as a precaution.
No other vehicles were involved.
There were long tailbacks in the area as recovery services recovered the car, but those eased as the afternoon wore on.
