A woman suffered a frightening ordeal in a car, Dunfermline Sheriff Court has heard.
Steven Jones, 50, of Dockyard Digs, Rosyth, admitted acting aggressively, making offensive remarks and punching a car windscreen on August 13 at Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline.
He also admitted assaulting his partner by striking her with a seatbelt, repeatedly punching her on the head and body and seizing her by the neck at High Street, Pilmuir Place and Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline.
Defence solicitor Russel McPhate said his client accepted it had been a “nasty and vicious series of events”.
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed 180 hours of unpaid work and 12 months’ supervision.
