Torrential rain has battered parts of Fife and Tayside causing flooding to a number of roads as well as making conditions treacherous for motorists.
Roads have been flooded and in some cases made impassable across Courier Country including in Dalgety Bay, Rosyth, Dunfermline and St Andrews.
A taxi was stranded in flood water for a time in Grange Road, Rosyth while many motorists were forced to find an alternative route through Dalgety Bay because of severe flooding on the A921 approach road from Aberdour.
Roads were also reported to be flooded between Leven and Craigrothie and St Andrews, on the B9130 leading to Markinch and on the B981 at Fordell.
A yellow warning for potential flooding has been issued by the Met Office with heavy rain forecast across Scotland until Sunday evening.
The statement added: “Within the warning area many parts will see 15-30 mm (0.5-1 ins) of rain during Sunday with the potential for as much as 40-50 mm (1.5-2 ins) in places, much of this falling in a 6 hour period.
“Heavy rain may cause some transport disruption and flooding in places on Sunday.”
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) have also issued a flood warning advising of heavy and persistent rain is expected to affect the area through until Sunday afternoon.
It added: “Some localised river flooding to low-lying land and roads is likely, this will be accompanied by difficult driving conditions and ponding of water in known trouble spots. Isolated property flooding could also occur.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue service said there had been no emergency call outs up until 1pm Sunday but that a close monitoring of the situation would continue.
