A man has been charged with murder following a death in an Angus town. A major police investigation was launched after the body of Frankie Melvin was found on Spitalfield Place, Arbroath, on Wednesday at about 6pm. A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the 34-year-old’s death. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday. Police cordoned off Spitalfield Place, along with connecting Newbigging Drive, on Wednesday evening and remained at the scene into Thursday evening. Anyone with information on Mr Melvin’s death is still being asked to contact 101.
