An Angus secondary has been closed due to a problem with its gas supply.
Carnoustie High School will be shut on Wednesday, March 28 after the issue surfaced on Tuesday.
Contractors are currently attempting to fix the problem at the school.
An Angus Council spokesman said: “Carnoustie High School will be closed on Wednesday 28 March.
“Due to a gas supply issue, which contractors are currently working to rectify, we are making plans to close Carnoustie High School tomorrow (Wednesday 28).
“We apologise to parents, guardians and carers for any inconvenience, but wanted to notify them at an early stage so they could make alternative arrangements for their child(ren).
“Further updates will be provided through the usual media channels if there is any change to this situation.”
